Chrisette Michele. Tonight I watched her Rising Star episode on BET, awesome. She's a raw talent. She scats like Ella Fitzgerald is incorporated in her soul. When you listen to her CD's you definitely understand she's an awesome vocalist & a powerhouse in her own right but until you see her raw performance & live passion, you don't understand. Right now, she's at the top of the list to go see on tour. I will support any of her future ventures because she's a different individual, a rare lady in the game. Good stuff Chrisette.
So Solange decided she wanted to cut off her hair. Isn't that her own choice & decision under the First Amendment? The media & stupid bloggers need to let that shit go. Its her choice & she's not doing it to gain attention or distinction from her sister, Beyonce. Solange can stand on her own as a musician & individual; I really don't view their "siblingship" with any sort of animosity or jealousy. They're two different people with different views of "success." Leave her alone. Her, being Solange Knowles.
Alright, so last night I started talking to this girl. Well I mean I've known her for a lil while now but never really like texted much or anything of the sort. We chatted for awhile & it was awesome. I was getting good replies, engaging convo, & becoming more aware of some depth she possessed. It was nice. I mean I'm not gonna speak on anything & assume its going any further than last night's "plus side" conversation, but I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed & think positively. She could be a special one. & I'd be a good catch [no cocky :p]
Today, I went driving w/ my father today. Not for a lesson, but simply to pick my mom up from wrk (the mechanic was wrkin on hers). Why did I assume this would be like driving w/ my mother w/ slight instruction & critique? This man was on a mission to make me have such a negative connotation w/ driving I'd never want to drive, get a license, or even sit in the driver's seat of any damn car. I mean I understand, if I f'ck up, correct me. But why are you preaching, Al Sharpton? Why can't it just be, "Turn your signal on earlier?" Why does it have to be, "Turn your signal on earlier, don't turn it on right before you make the turn, people have to know where you're going, the driver behind you decides their speed on your turn signal ..." I mean its like incessant. I hated it. He made it extremely unpleasant.
Haha. What can I say? Its Wendy Williams. The Queen of Media. Honestly one of the few things I look forward to everyday. Like eating & talking to a new chick. She's a fresh face on television, she's energetic, she's not intimidated by "media etiquette" & she's a no nonsense type of girl. One of my favorite shows on right now, probably ever. Good ol' Wendy Williams =]
From what I see on Tori & Dean I'd marry her. She's beautiful & awesome in every other way, besides her unnecessary crying bits, she's perfect.
Today, the world lost an icon. His memorial & tribute was extremely fitting & well deserved. It was a well done ceremony w/ excellent performances. A broad range of emotions were felt during the ceremony. Joy, laughter, sadness, empathy, everything. Michael Jackson was the world's greatest entertainer & he can never be forgotten. Seeing his daughter break down the way she did made Michael Jackson a human being, a father, a brother, an uncle, a cousin, a family member; he was no longer this mega icon held on a pedestal. Like his brother said, "Maybe they'll leave you alone Michael.

I've had my fair share of forgiving moments. Forgiving things that in most people's eyes are not worthy of forgiveness, they'd turn the other cheek & never look back. But I have. But w/ this whole situation its extremely difficult to not do the same thing. When individuals set standards for friendships, relationships, whatever the case may be, they shouldn't be taken lightly. Yeah, I've went back on a couple strong 'standards' but this takes the cake, because it was blatant. I think I'm a pretty decent person & I try to treat people w/ the utmost respect & not insult them w/ sloppy lies & inconsistencies. I'm coo. I'll live. Get over it. You made ur bed now lay in it.
