Foot Fault? Really?

Photobucket

Last night, woah buddy. I haven't been that pissed in awhile. Serena Williams, the 11 time grand slam champion on the cusp of losing but being Serena, you can never truly count her out. The lineman or lineswoman in this case called a foot fault. A foot fault, in a semi finals match on the verge of being over. Serena lost her cool, with all right. First, it wasn't a foot fault to begin with. Second, YOU DON'T CALL THAT, you just don't. Now, the entire tennis association is up in arms, disappointed in this champion's attitude and in total disbelief as to how she could "lose her composure" so. The effect, Serena now looks like the angry, bitter, stereotypical black woman who cannot keep her emotions under control. Forgetting the antics of McEnroe, Conners, and Billie Jean King, these individuals are so quick to judge and forget the human aspect of the situation. Serena Williams demonstrated heart and frustration. If I was in the same situation, I doubt I'd act different or even any better. That lineswoman deserved whatever was uttered to her. Serena's a fighter, she'll be back for Australia in January.
